    ADHD & RSD Therapy

Our practice specializes in providing affirming support for adults on the ADHD spectrum who would like to learn more about how their unique brains both help and challenge them.

ADHD affects individuals in diverse ways, influencing their thoughts, behaviors, and interactions. A positive affirming approach focuses on recognizing strengths and building skills that enhance everyday functioning.

In therapy, individuals are encouraged to explore their unique perspectives and experiences, fostering self-acceptance and resilience. This approach emphasizes empowerment, highlighting abilities such as creativity, problem-solving, and hyperfocus, which can be harnessed for personal growth.

Therapeutic techniques may include mindfulness practices, organizational strategies, and cognitive restructuring to support individuals in navigating challenges while celebrating their individuality. Collaborative goal-setting allows for tailoring coping strategies to personal preferences and lifestyles, promoting independence and confidence.

Therapists also create a safe space for open discussion of emotions and experiences, validating feelings and encouraging self-exploration. This supportive environment can lead to enhanced self-esteem and improved communication skills, reducing feelings of isolation and misunderstandings in relationships.

Overall, a positive affirming therapy approach seeks to uplift and inspire, empowering individuals to embrace their unique qualities and cultivate fulfilling lives.

    Autism Support

We help people who are curious about how their brains work to better understand their strengths as a Autistic neurodivergent person. Some of what we would do in a session is to help you uncover sources of overwhelm in your environment and how this intersects with burnout in work and fatigue with personal relationships. We don’t do “therapy” for Autism in the way it’s been presented in the past because how it’s been done is harmful and focused on changing the individual. We don’t get behind that. Instead we use Neurodiversity Affirming principles to support each individual client. Because when you meet one Autistic person, you have met one Autistic person. We’d love to connect!
