Out of Network:
Most health insurance policies will reimburse up to 70-80% when you choose an out of network provider for mental health therapy. Don’t want to hassle with calling the insurance company to figure it all out? We get it. Let Mentaya do the legwork and contact them on your behalf. Note: They charge a small percentage for these services usually 5%.
With their “Benefits Checker” you can quickly see
Do I have out of network (OON) benefits included in my health insurance plan?
What is the deductible for out of network (OON) benefits?
What percentage will insurance reimburse me for mental health therapy?
When will I receive the payment?
Disclaimer: We do not receive any benefits from the partnership but you do!

No Surprises Act - Effective January 1, 2022
As a client of Past and Present Therapy, LLC, you will be utilizing a private pay/out of network service. It’ is possible your therapy will be at a higher rate than you would pay using an in-network provider. As part of your intake paperwork, you will be asked to review our No Surprises Act disclosure form, to acknowledge that you are choosing not to use an in-network provider, and that you understand you are agreeing to pay the higher rate. Additionally, we will provide an annual estimate of costs for your therapy so there are “No surprises” to you.
Therapy is an investment in your health and the choice to use an out of network provider is more expensive. However, there are many added benefits
More privacy.
More autonomy, you control your therapy not insurance companies.
More highly specialized Therapists.
